Unearthed High 2024

Hunt for best school age artist

Congratulations to Year 11 student Charlie Sabin on his original song composition which has been entered in this year’s triple J Unearthed High competition.

The competition is triple J’s hunt for Australia’s best high school-age song writer and artist.

You can check out Charlie’s unearthed profile and his song entry here. Feel free to leave a review.

Charlie debuted his song, Brighton’s Side, at the recent Jam 4 James concert. Thanks to our links with 3MBS recording studio, he has now been able to workshop and record his song which features acoustic guitar, voice and an added cello bassline played by Elliot Tay in Year 12.

Charlie describes his style as Indie/Folk. Charlie learned a lot from the recording experience and the sound technician described working on Charlie’s song as, ‘a real treat’.
