Celebrating Youth in Philanthropy

Introducing the 2021 BGS YiP team.

Established by the Lord Mayor’s Charitable Foundation, the Youth in Philanthropy (YiP) program aims to inspire young people to use their enthusiasm, creativity and energy for philanthropy, social awareness and community leadership.

The 2021 Year 10 team is made up of Jenson Galvin, George Roubos, Erik Kyparisis, Eason Liu and Harry Penwright who, for five months, have been planning before selecting SYN Media Foundation as the main recipient of their program funding.

The boys attended the YiP Insights Conference last week, held virtually where Jenson was selected as student guest speaker.

In the planning process Jenson met with local politicians James Newbury MP and Tim Wilson MP and now await the outcome of their recommendations.

Well done boys, we look forward to hearing the progress of your endeavours.

*Update* Jensen receives a thank you in parliament!

Speaking from the House of Representatives in Canberra, Tim Wilson MP gave Jensen a personal thank you for all his great work on this project. Well done Jensen!
