Craig Marais, an Australian hockey player, has emerged as a prominent figure through his unwavering dedication, hard work, and undeniable talent. Recognized as a child prodigy from a young age, Marais quickly captured attention with his exceptional skills and determination on the hockey field.

Impressing as a standout player for the U12 School Sport Victoria state team, Marais showcased consistent performance and potential. His remarkable achievements included participation in five junior state carnivals, leading to his selection for the U18 Australian Youth Olympics team in Argentina. Remarkably, he achieved this feat while still a Year 10 student at BGS, marking a significant milestone in his career.

Continuing his upward trajectory, Marais made his debut in the Hockey One national competition during Year 11, showcasing his skill and determination while representing his team. Despite the unfortunate disruptions caused by COVID-19, he received recognition for his talent and hard work when he earned a coveted spot in the prestigious Australian Kookaburras squad in early 2022. Just weeks after his inclusion, Marais made his debut for the Kookaburras in a match against Malaysia in Perth, signalling the start of a promising international career.
