JS Orientation: Years 1 – 6 Orientation

Years 1 – 6 (2025) Orientation

Years 1 and 2 (2025) Boy for a Day

Boys entering Years 1 and 2 will be invited to join us as a Boy for a Day.  This is an opportunity to meet our teachers and meet with other boys.

Year 3, 4 & Year 5 (2025) Orientation Days

The purpose of Orientation Day is to acquaint new boys with the staff at Brighton Grammar, the other boys with whom they will become classmates in the future, and their new surroundings. The boys will participate in a variety of specialist classes:  Design & Technology, Music and Physical Education (Invicta space).

The Orientation Day Program will commence at 9.15am and you can farewell your son at the Junior School carpark in Grosvenor Street at that time. The program will finish at 2.30pm so boys will need to bring their recess and lunch.  Boys should wear neat casual clothes and sports footwear as there will be outside activities during the day.

Parents are invited to attend a presentation with Peter Tellefson, Deputy Headmaster, Head of Junior School for an update on the Junior School and administration requirements on Tuesday 15 October at 9.15am.

Orientation days will be held on the following dates:

Year 3 – Thursday 10 October

Year 4 – Tuesday 22 October

Year 5 – Tuesday 15 October

Celebrating Sons, Grandsons and Nephews of Old Boys

When Old Boys enrol their sons at BGS, the School also takes much pleasure in celebrating this multi-generational link. To assist us, we ask parents of our multi-generational BGS boys to complete the ‘BGS Generations form’ so that the School can acknowledge our current second-, third- and fourth-generation BGS boys. If you have already completed this form, there is no need to complete it again.

For any enquiries about the BGS Generations Program contact Kate Speirs, Alumni & Community Manager, by email.
